Everyday Skincare with Beauty Counter

In the past year, my eyes have been opened to the world of toxic beauty and the harmful effects that it has on our bodies. In beauty products there are thousands and thousands of harmful chemicals that are linked to cancer, infertility, and more… like no thank you, I don’t want that in my body! One of my favorite clean brands is Beauty Counter, which is a skincare and makeup brand committed to clean and safe products. They have banned over 1,800 harmful ingredients in their skincare and makeup products. I have tried many of their products and I adore them all!

For my everyday skincare routine, I use Beauty Counter products from their Countermatch collection and every single day, I’m like oooo my skin looks fabulous! The Countermatch collection prevents lines and wrinkles and maintains moisture levels in the skin. Sometimes my skin is extremely dry and other times it is extremely oily, so this collection is perfect for me! Every day, I use their Pure Calm Cleansing Milk, Hydra-Gel Radiance Toner, Intense Moisture Serum, Adaptive Moisture Lotion, Recovery Sleeping Cream, and Eye Rescue Cream. This collection is usually the most commonly suggested for people around my age. Step 1- Countermatch Pure Calm Cleansing Milk

This first step is the cleanse step. I use this cleansing milk in the AM and the PM. This product removes makeup and washes your face without striping away your skin’s natural oils. I massage the product onto a dry face and neck, then rinse with warm water. I love this product because unlike typical face washes, I feel like I am putting moisturizer on. An alternative to this product is the Countermatch Refresh Foaming Cleanser, which is used like a typical face wash. I prefer the cleansing milk, but they are both fantastic products!

Notable Ingredients: Plum oil, jojoba seed oil, coconut oil, & tocopherol (vitamin E)

Step 2- Countermatch Hydra-Gel Radiance Toner

The second step is the prep step. I use this toner in the AM and the PM. This product gives your skin a nice glow and removes any impurities. I pump the product onto a cotton pad and swipe over my face and neck. This toner is one of my all-time favorite toners I have ever used!

Notable Ingredients: Squalene, plum oil, & phytic acid

Step 3- Countermatch Intense Moisture Serum

The third step is the treat step. I use this serum in the AM and the PM. This serum is moisturizing and provides antioxidant protection. It causes the skin to look bright and feel firm. I pump the product into my hands and massage on my face and neck.

Notable Ingredients: Hyaluronic acid & vitamins C & E

Step 4- Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion (AM)

The fourth step is the protect step. I use this lotion ONLY in the AM. This is my favorite step in the entire collection and it feels like butter the way it glides across my skin. It is a lightweight lotion that provides hydration to the skin throughout the day. I pump the product into my hands and massage on my face and neck.

Step 5- Countermatch Recovery Sleeping Cream (PM)

The fifth step is also the protect step. I use this lotion ONLY is the PM. This overnight cream provides hydration throughout the night. The container on this product is fabulous! You push the side button to release the cream and then massage on the face and neck.

Step 6- Countermatch Eye Rescue Cream

The sixth and final step in my skincare routine. I use this eye cream in the AM and the PM. The eye cream reduces lines and dark circles and provides an overall brighter look. I really struggle with dark circles and I am always on the lookout for the perfect eye cream. To apply, I use my fourth finger to pat on my eye area.
