Whether you have or haven’t been to France before, I can almost guarantee there is somewhere on this list you haven’t visited yet! Included are some iconic places, but also some lesser well-known places that are absolutely hidden gems! Without further ado let’s get to it!
Paris, France
Of course, I included the iconic Paris! It is called the city of love for a reason, there is romance everywhere you turn! One could go to Paris 50+ times & still have countless wonderful things to do! Pro tip, go to the roof of the Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann for an unforgettable view of the Eiffel Tower!
Gorge du Verdon
Wow just wow! Definitely one of the most unforgettable places I have ever been! The picture below sums up the magnificent Gorge Du Verdon perfectly. Make sure you bring a swimsuit & rent a paddle boat. Also, the gorge is surrounded by a lovely lake & the cutest little French towns that are perfect to stay in!
Lacoste, France
Lacoste is a small picturesque town located in southeastern France. Luckily, it is completely untouched by the modern world & looks as though it is frozen in time. The oldest building in town dates back to the 9th century. Also, it is home to an 11th century castle that is perched on top of the town. There are wonderful views from up there! With all this in mind, I think it is evident that Lacoste is pretty close to perfection! One can definitely see everything in Lacoste in a day. However, I suggest staying in one of the lovely bed & breakfasts nearby!

Los Clos Des Lavandes
Bonne Terre
Cassis, France
Cassis is a Mediterranean fishing port in the south of France. I highly suggest staying in this endearing town for a few days. There is a lot of shopping, many sights to see, & wonderful French cuisine! In my opinion, the most notable places to visit are Calanque d’En Vau Beach & Port Pin Beach. Both of these attractions are somewhat difficult to access & require some hiking, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes!
Pont Du Gard
Pont Du Gard is one of the most remarkable historic sites! It is an ancient Roman aqueduct bridge built in the 1st century AD. I highly suggest staying in Avignon, France & heading to the Pont Du Gard for a day trip. There is a small entrance fee. However, it is definitely worth every penny! If you are feeling adventurous, you can jump off the cliffs into the water or rent a kayak.
