Fun house update and design inspiration coming your way! But first let me start with this, for those of y’all that don’t know, my husband and I are moving to Savannah, Georgia this upcoming summer! We are building a house on the east side of Savannah in a community on the marsh. In early December, we had our selections meeting. We spent 6 hours picking out everything for the home (paint colors, hardwoods, tile, etc.). I was incredibly prepared for the meeting. Of course I went with spreadsheets and inspiration pages (lol so me)! Listen, I know what I like and I am very opinionated! I have a strong stylistic vison for the home, and I can’t wait to see it all come to life.
One of the very first selections we decided on was the floorplan. We chose a two-story double front porch home with a navy blue and white exterior. For a wedding anniversary present this year, I hired a watercolor artist to do a custom painting of our new home.

Floorplan
The floorplan of the home is set up perfectly for us! When you walk in the front door, the dining room is directly to the left. However, we are turning the dining room into my husband’s office. As you continue through the home, there is a half-bath, open concept kitchen/living room, and a breakfast nook. The breakfast nook leads out to the garage and a screened in back porch. Upstairs you have the laundry room, my design studio, the master bedroom, and 2 guest bedrooms.
Kitchen Mood
The room I am most excited about in our new home is the kitchen! The colors of the kitchen will be white and gold with a hint of blue. I am going for a clean, cozy, and trendy space.

Hardware and Lighting
I absolutely adore all our gold hardware and lighting selections for the kitchen! All the lighting in our home is from a local Savannah lighting company. For lighting, there will be 3 gold pendants over the island. As well as canned lighting throughout the rest of the kitchen. Of course, the canned lights I chose are gold (haha so me)! The cabinet nobs, cabinet bar pulls, and the kitchen faucet are gold from Moen.

Click Countertops
In my opinion, one of the most important design details in the kitchen is the countertops. They can make or break a space. When building, designing, or renovating your kitchen, there are many decisions to be made and many items to keep track of. The process should be as easy and affordable as possible! For all my Atlanta gals, there is no better option than Click Countertops! They remove any possible friction points and simplifiy the process of getting your dream countertops. Additionally, they have so many trendy and timeless styles to choose from. My personal favorite is the Regal Statuary Quartz countertop. It has very similar vibe and look to marble. It is exactly the kind of style countertop I am doing in my home.
Once you choose a style and material from Click Countertops, you need to calculate how much you need. Click Countertops makes it easy with the countertop calculator. The process of buying your dream countertops has never been easier!
Appliances
Am I extra…..? Yes, yes I am and I embrace it! All my kitchen appliances are white matte with gold hardware. I decided on an extremely large fridge (yay snacks!) and a double oven. One day if I ever decide I like cooking, maybe this double oven will be useful lol! Additionally, to create a cleaner look the microwave will be built into the island.

Butler’s Pantry
I am so happy that our kitchen will have a Butler’s pantry (yay for more storage)! Just like the rest of the kitchen, the cabinets will be white with gold hardware. A white and gold wine fridge will be built into the lower cabinets. To add a touch of fun, I chose Serena & Lily blue and white striped wallpaper. And of course, the butler’s pantry will be our coffee and wine bar!

Breakfast Nook
Since we are getting rid of our formal dining room and making it into my husband’s office, we need the breakfast nook to have as much seating as possible. The same Serena & Lily wallpaper used in the butler’s pantry will be used in the breakfast nook. Also, there will be a built-in shiplap breakfast bench. The space will be finished with a custom cushion for the bench and lots of cozy pillows! And last but not least, a gold chandelier to add a touch of fabulous flair!

I am so excited to see the kitchen come to life and I can’t wait to share photos with y’all once the kitchen is done! I am so thankful to be moving to my favorite city and building my dream home. God is good ♥
